For this assignment — a presentation — your group aims to persuade the Chief Executive Officer to invest further in analytics. From your presentation, the CEO should be interested, understand, and be able to act upon your messages, given your constraints. As evidence of the value of analytics, introduce and explain your interactive communication and how such projects bring value for their intended audiences.
To understand your audience for this assignment (the CEO), review Spencer (2021), § 1.2.1.3, and cited references therein, and perform basic online research.
Your presentation should be constrained to 8-10 minutes.
Presentations will be assessed on the following:
framed for appropriate audience;
combined (verbal, textual, and visual) arguments logically support appropriate purpose;
textual and visual narrative driven by messages, not just information;
textual and visual narrative organized, hierarchy of information created, and ideas linked using best practices in grids, negative space, typography, channels of color;
effectively introduces interactive communication (prior assignment) as supporting evidence for argument;
(verbal and visual) narrative and structure guides audience with, for example, temporal transitions between speakers and between topics;
adheres to constraints; and
individual contributions to group presentation.
Submit on courseworks any presentation visuals with an appendix that includes group-member, individual contribution scores, per instructions below.
